Video-on-Demand (VOD)

How to enable VOD on your Strimm channel and let viewers watch your library on demand.

Video-on-Demand (VOD) lets viewers watch any video in your channel's library on their own schedule — not just what's currently on the live broadcast. When VOD is enabled, your channel page shows your scheduled 24/7 broadcast alongside a full on-demand library that viewers can browse anytime.

What VOD looks like for viewers

Once VOD is enabled, your channel watch page displays two sections:

  • Scheduled Broadcast — the live 24/7 stream playing right now.
  • Video-on-Demand — a browsable library of every video you've made available on demand.

Viewers can watch the live stream or pick any title from the VOD library independently.

How to enable and manage VOD

VOD is managed from your channel's Production Studio:

  1. Go to My Studio and open the channel you want to configure.
  2. In the left sidebar, click VOD.
  3. Use the toggle at the top to enable VOD for your channel.
  4. Your entire video library is automatically available as VOD once enabled — no need to add videos one by one.

Controlling which videos appear in VOD

You can control VOD availability on a per-video basis:

  • Go to Add Videos → My Videos in the Production Studio.
  • Open any video and toggle Include in VOD on or off.
  • Videos excluded from VOD will still play in your scheduled broadcast but won't appear in the on-demand library.

VOD and Pay-Per-View

You can charge viewers to unlock individual VOD titles using Pay-Per-View (PPV). When PPV is active on a video, viewers see a lock icon and must pay to watch it on demand. See the Pay-Per-View article for setup instructions.

VOD on mobile and TV apps

VOD is available across all Strimm-powered apps — web, iOS, Android, Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, and Android/Google TV. Viewers on any platform can browse and watch your on-demand library alongside the live broadcast.
