Using Analytics

How to track viewers, views, and watch time across all your channels and platforms using Strimm Analytics.

What is Strimm Analytics?

Strimm Analytics lets you track viewers, views, and watch time across all your channels on every platform — Strimm.com, your embedded website player, Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV, and your mobile app.

To open Analytics, go to your Production Studio and click Analytics in the left sidebar under Other.

How to Use Analytics

1. Select a Date Range

Use the Date Range dropdown at the top left to choose the time period you want to analyze. Options include Last 7 days, Last 30 days, and custom ranges.

2. Filter by Platform

Use the Select Platform to Analyze Data dropdown to see data from a specific platform or choose All to combine data across all platforms:

  • Strimm.com — viewers watching your channel on the Strimm website
  • Embedded Channels — viewers on your own website (paid plans)
  • Mobile App — viewers using your custom mobile app
  • Roku — viewers on your Roku channel (paid plans)
  • And other OTT platforms available with your plan

3. Select a TV Channel

Choose All to see combined data across all your channels, or select a specific channel to analyze individually.

4. View Statistics

Once you select your filters, the top row shows key metrics:

  • Right Now — number of viewers watching live at this moment
  • Total Users — total unique visitors in the selected period
  • New Users — first-time visitors in the selected period
  • Total Views — total number of viewing sessions
  • Unique Views — unique viewing sessions
  • Average Watch Time — average time viewers spend watching

5. Choose a Graphical View

Use the Select Graphical View dropdown to display a chart for: New Users, Total Users, Total Views, Unique Views, or Average Watch Time. You can also toggle between Day, Week, and Month views on the chart.

6. Export Data

Click the download icon next to the Export Data field to export your analytics data. Select PDF or CSV format from the dropdown before exporting.

Notes

  • Free plan users can view analytics for Strimm.com and the Strimm mobile app only.
  • Paid plan users get analytics for embedded channels, OTT apps, and mobile apps depending on their package.
  • Analytics data reflects channel traffic, not individual video play counts.
