Creating your first channel

A channel is a single TV stream that your viewers can watch. You can create as many channels as your plan allows. Here's how to set one up.

Start a new channel

  1. In the Production Studio, open Create Channel from the left sidebar.
  2. Upload a Channel Image (minimum size 200×200 px) — this is the artwork shown for your channel.
  3. Enter a Channel Name. Strimm automatically builds your channel's public URL from the name.

Website embed settings

On the right, you can configure how your channel behaves when embedded:

  • Website URL — the site where your channel will be embedded.
  • Embed code — copy the provided <script> snippet and paste it on your website to display the channel.
  • Password-protected channel — require a password to watch.
  • Default Live Broadcast — set whether the channel starts as a live broadcast.
  • Show Placeholder Image — display your channel image when nothing is playing.

    Once your settings look right, save the channel. It will appear in your studio, ready for you to add videos and schedule programming.
