Channel Settings gives you full control over how your channel looks, behaves, and appears to viewers. Open it from Channel Settings in the left sidebar of your Production Studio.
Base Settings
Channel Image
Your channel's artwork shown in the Gallery and on the watch page. Minimum 200×200 px.
Channel Name
The display name for your channel. The URL below it (e.g. strimm.com/YourNetwork/channelname) is generated when the channel is created and cannot be changed.
Category & Language
Choose the category that best fits your content (used for Gallery browsing) and the primary language of your channel.
What is your channel about?
A short description shown on your channel's public watch page.
Website Embed Settings
Website URL
Enter the URL of the website where you plan to embed this channel. This is used to generate your embed code and to whitelist your domain for playback.
Embed Code
Copy the generated <script> snippet and paste it into your website's HTML where you want the player to appear.
Password-protected channel
Enable this to require viewers to enter a password before watching your embedded channel. Useful for private or members-only content. When enabled, a password field appears — set any password you choose.
Default Live Broadcast
When toggled on, your live stream overrides the pre-recorded schedule and plays immediately in the player. Only enable this while a live event is actively streaming — disable it once the event ends, or your player will show no content.
Show Placeholder Image
Displays a static image (1280×720 px, JPG or PNG) in the player when no video is currently scheduled or when audio-only content is playing. Required for audio/radio channels — see Audio & Radio Channels.
Appearance & Branding
Use Account-level channel settings
When checked, this channel inherits the defaults you set in Account Settings instead of using its own individual values. Useful when you want consistent behavior across many channels without configuring each one separately.
White-label channel
Removes all Strimm branding from the embedded player, so viewers see only your channel's identity.
Keep TV guide open
Opens the TV Guide panel by default when a viewer loads your embedded player, so the schedule is immediately visible.
Custom branding
Adds your branding to the player. Two options:
- Textual branding — displays your channel name as text in the player.
- Custom logo — upload a PNG logo (minimum 50×50 px) that appears in the player. Requires the Custom branding toggle to be on.
Playback Controls
Player controls
Show or hide the standard playback controls (play/pause, volume, fullscreen) in the embedded player.
Allow Private Videos
Enables support for private or unlisted content, including HLS Live links. This must be turned on before you can add a live stream via an HLS URL. See Live Streaming for details.
Hide "Guide" Button (Standard Look)
Removes the Guide button from the Standard player, so viewers cannot open the TV schedule panel.
Remove Scroll In The Guide (Show 10 Channels)
Limits the TV Guide to showing only the 10 most recent channels, removing the scrollbar. Useful for a cleaner look in multi-channel networks.
Embed-Only Mode
Prevents your channel from being watched directly on the Strimm website or Channel Gallery. Content is only viewable via your embedded player on your own website.
Player Look
- Standard — the default player with a sidebar guide panel.
- Full Page — a larger, cinema-style player that fills the full width of the embed area. The guide panel is hidden by default in this mode.
Saving
Click Save Changes when done. Changes take effect immediately on your embedded player.
